Subway Suspect Goes to Trial

A Vernon man has been ordered to stand trial in connection with a robbery at the Subway restaurant on 27th Street in September of last year.
Thirty-eight-year-old Andrew Robert Pigott is charged with one court of robbery and one count of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
During the incident, a suspect is alleged to have used pepper spray on staff.
Pigott appeared in court for a preliminary hearing on June 18th.
A date for the BC Supreme Court trial is expected to be set next month.
