Delay In Murder Sentencing

Matthew Foerster’s sentencing hearing has been delayed.

It was supposed to be Monday — but its now set for June 4th after a request for more time by Foerster’s lawyer.

Foerster pleaded guilty in March to the second-degree murder of Armstrong teenager Taylor Van Diest in 2011.

He was originally found guilty of first degree murder in 2014, but successfully appealed it.

Global Okanagan says the accused was recently moved from a prison in Abbotsford to the one in Oliver, and his lawyer says that created communications issues.
