Enderby Strategic Planning

A strategic planning session is set for later this month to touch base on what need to be done heading towards the October civic election.

Mayor McCune says one focus will be on development in the industrial park.

“I think just the awareness we’ve created there. Now it’s time to push that forward. Again, it will provide an opportunity for businesses to come in that will need employees”

Enderby obtained funds through BC Rural Dividend to hire consultants to help the park operators develop a plan.

He’s confident most members will be seeking re-election.

“We’ve got a fantastic city council so, you know, if the people believe we’re doing a good job, it’s time for us to start planning for the next four years. I think that’s the exciting part, is what do we need to actually accomplish that will, again, benefit the community.”

McCune says he’s hopeful of Enderby growing a community that it’s youth will see as something to come back to after furthering their education.
