A low pressure system will spread precipitation across southern BC today. As the low approaches, the atmosphere will become increasingly unsettled and there is the potential for bands of heavier snow to develop.

The heavy bands of snow are most likely to occur this afternoon and this evening and amounts will vary considerably between locations.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
