Reported Car Jacking Incident

A witness to an apparent car jacking in Lumby has told Beach Radio News that a truck, previously reported stolen, ended up in a ditch in the 4000 block of Hwy 6, west of Lumby Saturday morning.

The occupant(s) of the truck then flagged down a vehicle for help, pepper sprayed the driver, and stole their vehicle, according to the witness.

The caller to our News Dept. said they had talked to an officer on scene.

RCMP have been contacted to provide more information on the incident.
