The Ministry of Environment and Interior Health say the high concentrations of dust exceed provincial air quality objectives.
The main cause is stirred-up road traction material.
People with breathing or other medical conditions may want to reduce their exposure.
The conditions are expected to remain until there is a change in the weather, such as rain.

A five day-old dust advisory has been lifted in the Vernon area.
The Environment Ministry and Interior Health issued the notice Saturday due to high concentrations of course particulates caused by stirred-up road traction material.
Air quality Meteorologist Tarek Ayache says the recent rain has lowered the concentrations which are now below advisory levels.
“Latest PM10 (course particulate) measurements at the Vernon Science Centre station indicate an hourly average of 6 micrograms per cubic metre. The average for the past 24 hours is 21 micrograms per cubic metre, which is below the provincial air quality objective of 50 micrograms per cubic metre,” says Ayache.
