Pirates To Invade Carnival

There will be plenty of Jack Sparrows and Captain Hooks for next year’s Vernon Winter Carnival.

The society has announced the theme for the 59th annual event will be ‘A Pirates Carnival.’

Executive director Vicki Proulx says it will be fun for all ages, with the event running from Feb 1 to 10, 2019.

“We were thrilled with the amazing suggestions we received,” says Proulx. “It was hard to pick a theme there were so many great ideas.”

Carnival chair Deb White says it follows on the heels of the popular Carnival in Wonderland this year.
