Update: Standoff Suspect Enters Plea

A man charged after a 15 hour standoff with police in Coldstream could be sentenced next month.

33 year old Kelly Blake Torvik has entered a guilty plea to uttering threats in provincial court, one of nine charges he is facing.

He will return to court March 28th for a pre sentence report.

A distraught man armed with a gun was arrested Feb 5th after barricaded himself in a home on Torrent Drive.

A man charged after a 15 hour standoff with police in Coldstream will be back in court Monday.

33 year old Kelly Blake Torvik intends to enter a guilty plea, according to court documents.

He is facing nine charges after a distraught man armed with a gun barricaded himself in a home on Torrent Drive on Feb. 5th, surrendering later that afternoon.

A female resident was allegedly assaulted and fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Torvik was denied bail earlier this week, and remains in custody.

He is accused of assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and pointing a firearm.
