Water Source To Be Turned Off
Greater Vernon Water will be turning off the Duteau Creek water source next week, for planned construction work on the ultra violet disinfection project.
It is anticipated that the work will be completed by March 12th, but could be extended if needed.
All customers will be get water from the the Mission Hill Treatment Plant supplied by the Kalamalka Lake water source, during that period.
“Customers regularly receiving water from the Duteau Creek water source could notice a change as the Kal Lake water source is harder and more alkaline.
This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums,” says a Regional District of North Okanagan release.
