Man Dies While Snowboarding

RCMP are supporting the BC Coroner’s Service in an investigation into a sudden death at Big White ski resort near Kelowna.

A 21 year old Kelowna man died Sunday afternoon after suffering a fatal head injury while snowboarding in the Black Forest area.

Police say it appears the man struck a tree along a trail.

“RCMP have since notified the man’s family of his tragic passing. We would like to extend our deepest condolences, to both his family and friends, for their sudden loss,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
