Revelstoke Mountain Missing Skier Located Deceased

Revelstoke Mountain Resort Ski Patrol, along with Search and Rescue,  have located the body of a missing skier, according to a report by Sgt. Kurt Grabinski of the Revelstoke RCMP and published in the Revelstoke Current.

At approximately 4:45 pm on Saturday February 17th, members of the Revelstoke Search and Rescue team located the deceased male. Michael David Foster, 24 of Airdrie, Alberta, was located in the Greely Creek drainage north-east of the ski resort.

The RCMP remind those using the back country to be prepared, and always carry extra food, water and a communication device.

It is advisable to travel with others and to always notify a responsible person as to your expected time of return.
