Time to End ‘Schoolyard Squabble’
BC’s opposition leader is blaming the province’s NDP government for what he feels is a fundamental attack on BC’s wine industry.
New Liberal leader Andrew Wilkinson made a stop at a Kelowna winery Friday, to say Premier John Horgan has to “swallow his pride,” and solve what he calls a “schoolyard squabble.”
“The wine industry is now under siege, and wine workers are facing a challenge that is totally unnecessary that has been created by two NDP governments,” said Wilkinson who was crowned as the party’s new leader on Saturday.
Wilkinson says it’s unfortunate Horgan has chosen to pick a trade dispute with Alberta that will likely lead to a constitutional challenge that BC will probably lose.
