Nov 8:
Police say their search at a North Okanagan farm is still active and ongoing despite reports that efforts have been scaled back.
Residents of Silver Creek say the RCMP’s mobile command unit along with some white tents and privacy fencing at the Sagmoen property on Salmon River Road, are now gone.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says the operation is being continually assessed, and as a result, various resources are no longer required and are being removed from the property.
“This includes the removal of temporary shelters and heavy equipment. RCMP investigators are continuing their investigative efforts at the property,” says Moskaluk.
“The search of the Salmon River Road site remains active and ongoing.”
Police have been scouring the 24 acre property since Oct. 19th, where the remains of 18 year old Traci Genereaux were found.
No charges connected to the discovery have been laid as yet.
“The dedicated tipline remains in place, anyone who may have seen Traci or have any information are asked to call the police tipline at 1-877-987-8477,” adds the corporal.
