Fatal Crash Involving School Bus

A two vehicle crash near Westwold left one person dead.

A school bus with only the driver on board, and a car collided on Highway 97 near Back Road around 6:30 this morning.

A man in the car died at the scene.

“Upon first responders attendance it was confirmed that the adult male driver of a late model sedan was deceased as a result of the collision with an area school bus,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

The male bus driver wasn’t hurt.

Witnesses say the car was westbound when it crossed the center line and collided with the oncoming school bus.

“The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time,” adds Moskaluk.
