Dog Park Link Coming

Efforts are moving along on the the plan to link BX Ranch Dog Park with the off leash area at Mutrie Park.

RDNO Board Chair Bob Fleming says a contract is going to be let shortly for the fencing.

“That was one of the things. The trail construction. Really, when I talk trail construction it’s really just running a mower over the grass. I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of trail that’s going to be constructed.”

The fencing was one of the conditions of the purchase.

“So, with the goal that we can actually create that connection from the low park, the BX Ranch Park up through the new property and around to East Vernon Road and so on. So I think that’ll be a 2018 project. We’re hoping anyway.

The trail will continue around 39th Avenue, completely circumnavigate the property on the south side of the BX ranch property and end up on East Vernon Road.
