Remembrance Day ceremonies planned for Coldstream, Lavington

The District of Coldstream will be putting on two events next Wednesday to mark Remembrance Day.

The municipality said a pancake breakfast would be offered at Lavington Fire Hall from 9 to 10:30 a.m. November 11, followed by a Remembrance Day Ceremony at Lavington Park’s Cenotaph at 10:45 a.m.

In Coldstream, a Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at Cenotaph Park at 10:45 a.m. November 11.

That event in Coldstream will require Kalamalka Road to be closed between Aberdeen Road and Coldstream Elementary Road to accommodate the event and crowd. The closure was expected to be in place for one hour, and motorists were advised to plan ahead and avoid the area if possible.
