Fundraiser returns to support local hospice care

Nov 2, 2026 | 9:54 AM

A fundraiser to support end-of-life care has launched in the North Okanagan.

The North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS) kicked off its 2026 Journeys Annual Giving Campaign Monday.

The fundraiser encourages people, businesses and organizations to donate in support of NOHS’s programs and services, including end-of-life care, Hospice at Home, and grief and bereavement counselling, as well as purchase essential items and comfort items.

“Every person who comes through our doors has a story, and every family experiences their own unique journey,” NOHS’s Executive Director, Megan Cox, said.

“Through the generosity of our community, we can provide more than care. We can offer comfort, connection, dignity, and a place where families feel supported during some of life’s most difficult moments.”

NOHS stated it wished to raise $35,000 through the Journeys Campaign in order to sustain and strengthen the essential services it offers.

People can donate to the cause online here.
