Vernon’s leaf pickup program returns in mid-November

Vernon residents clearing their properties of fallen leaves can have them picked up and disposed of.

On the week of November 16 to 20, Emterra Environmental crews will be travelling through Vernon collecting bags of raked leaves from area properties.

Collection will be done on the same day curbside waste collection services are offered.

In order to have the leaves picked up, they must be bagged in clear and transparent plastic bags that weigh no more than 50 lbs. each. Coloured or opaque bags may be treated as regular household garbage and subject to standard collection limits.
