Former federal Green candidate running in the provincial election
A woman who ran for the federal Green Party has made a move to the provincial party.
Blair Visscher is running as the B.C. Green Party candidate for the Vernon-Lumby riding in the provincial election.
Speaking with Vernon Matters, Visscher said she was upset to hear a the call for a snap-provincial election, calling it “utterly ridiculous,” but decided to put her name forward all the same.
“If [B.C. NDP leader] David Eby wants to know what we think of how he’s doing, I thought what a great opportunity for us to get together and stand up and say, actually, we have got some notes,'” Visscher explained.
