Accountability advocate running for Kelowna city council

A candidate in the long list of hopefuls for Kelowna city council says knowing both how to spend and when not to spend taxpayer dollars is crucial.

Davis Kyle says residents should expect specific plans from all councillors for making Kelowna more safe, affordable, and livable. He said: ” too many councillors run on nothing but vague platforms and platitudes. You won’t get that from me.”

Kyle has advocated for better city planning practices as Vice Chair of the Planning Advisory Committee for the RDCO and cofounded the local Kelowna chapter of Strong Towns to advocate for better community planning, tax policy, and transportation spending.

He is the Past President of the Kelowna Cycling Coalition who pushed for reducing bike theft by leading the City of Kelowna bike valet partnerships in 2023 and 2025.
