Snow-sports enthusiasts can gear up at the Vernon Ski Swap

Skiers and snowboarders will have a chance to browse and purchase some new or used equipment ahead of the winter.

The Vernon Ski Club will hold the 57th annual Ski Swap at the Vernon Recreation Centre from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3.

The club said in a release that the Ski Swap is “the region’s biggest pre-season event for snow sports enthusiasts,” and the “perfect opportunity to gear up for the winter.”

On sale will be a wide selection of alpine skis, Nordic gear, snowboards, outerwear and accessories. Retailers from across B.C. will also be on site to offer their brand-new equipment alongside the gently used consignment items.
