Vipers Upended in Salmon Arm

Vernon, BC:  The Vernon Vipers opened the BCHL regular season with a 4-1 loss to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Friday night.

Van Martin scored Vernon’s lone goal, converting on the power play for the first BCHL goal of his career. Mykolas Skadauskas recorded the assist.

Vipers goaltender Sammy DiBlasi faced 31 shots and finished with 27 saves.

Brady Logue, Jared Rothman, Cash Olson and Alexis Beaulieu scored for Salmon Arm, while Noah Mavin stopped 20 of 21 shots to earn his first BCHL victory.
