Water restrictions loosened in Enderby

Sep 5, 2026 | 6:01 AM

Enderby’s water restrictions have been partially lifted.

All properties connected to the City of Enderby drinking water system have been downgraded to Stage 1 water restrictions.

Under the designation, people may use a sprinkler system to water their lawns a maximum of two hours a day between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. or 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and underground irrigation systems can be used for the same amount of time between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Watering at odd-addressed civic properties is permitted on odd-numbered days, and watering at even addresses can go on even days.

Hand watering with a can or hose with a spring-loaded nozzle can go anytime, as can watering for food security purposes.

People are still advised to conserve water wherever possible, with more details on the restrictions at the city’s website.

The restrictions will stay in effect until October 1 unless conditions change that require them to be lifted earlier or enhanced once again.
