West Kelowna outlines Labour Day weekend service changes and activities

West Kelowna city offices will be closed Monday for the Labour Day statutory holiday.

City Hall and administrative offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, while essential services including fire rescue, police, water, sewer and waste collection will continue.

Curbside collection will run on its regular schedule Monday, while transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

The Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre will also be closed for annual maintenance from Sept. 5 to 20.

The city says residents can still make the most of the long weekend with hiking, cycling, paddling and other outdoor activities around West Kelowna.
