Sep 3, 2026 | 12:57 PM

People will be able to garner some insight into the status of the local economy as the Greater Vernon Chamber will hold its Annual General Meeting later this month.

The AGM will feature an Economic Outlook Presentation, featuring guest speakers from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) who will detail macroeconomic trends, labour market dynamics, and operational forecast for small- and medium-sized businesses locally and beyond.

“Our AGM is an essential moment to reflect on the strength of our business community while looking ahead to new opportunities and challenges,” Sonja Harkness, Executive Director of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, stated.

“Partnering with BDC allows us to provide direct economic intelligence that empowers local business owners to make informed strategic decisions in the year ahead.”

The AGM will also involve the official Chamber business including installing the incoming Board of Directors, a review of the past year, and networking opportunities.

The event will be open to business owners, local leader, and the community as a whole.

The AGM will go at the Best Western Pacific Inn Thursday, Sept. 17. People can register online here.
