BARRIE WILFRED BROOKS
October 17, 1942 – August 15, 2026

We are sad to announce the passing of Barrie Wilfred Brooks, who died peacefully in hospital on August 15, 2026 at the age of 83.

Barrie was predeceased by his first wife Barbara in 2007 and his second wife Julia in 2021.

Barrie was born and raised in Vancouver and moved to Vernon around 1970. He purchased a lot in Coldstream where he designed and built a beautiful home overlooking Kalamalka Lake. He lived there over 50 years and absolutely loved it.

Barrie was an avid traveller and loved visiting Australia as well as many other places with Barbara and Julia.

Barrie is survived by his sister Valerie (Gary), cousin Don (Delores), lifelong friends Tom (Jean),and Guy (Kathryn) as well as many other friends he enjoyed spending time with and making memories.

In the last year he had mobility issues but strove to overcome challenges with his sister Valerie by his side. Rest in peace and we will love you forever.
