The debris left on Vernon’s beaches by flooding this spring is getting cleaned up.
City crews have started to remove the wood and other from the City-maintained section of Kin Beach and the beach at Paddle Wheel Park.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
“All of the debris is being removed to the regional landfill,” says City spokesperson Tanya Laing Gahr. “We estimate approximately 10 tandem loads of debris at Paddlewheel and Kin Beaches.”
