Overnight sheltering no longer permitted at Hidden Park

Camping out is now no longer permitted at a park just outside Vernon’s downtown core.

The city’s Parks and Public Spaces bylaw was amended to no longer allow overnight sheltering at Hidden Park.

City Council gave first, second and third reading to the amended bylaw at the meeting Monday.

The amendment came following a delegation and a petition from around 100 area residents who were concerned about camping at the park.
