Condo Fire Probe Concludes

Jul 12, 2017 | 4:12 PM

Vernon Fire Rescue has wrapped up its investigation into the Arbor Lee condo fire.

Investigators ruled the fire as not suspicious, and the cause is undetermined.

Residents say they heard an explosion prior to the fire starting on the balcony of a upper level unit.

The fire caused about 2 million dollars damage to the complex on 40th Avenue Monday night.

Eight suits were damaged, with about 30 residents expected to be out of their homes for months.

“Two fire engines, a ladder truck and about 30 fire fighters were used to extinguish the fire after several hours,” says a City news release.

Fire crews remained on scene until the early morning hours of July 11.

Support for the fire fighting came from the Coldstream and BX Swan Lake fire departments.
