Bank Robbery Suspect Facing Charges

It took police just a few hours to arrest a suspect in a Vernon bank robbery.

The Royal Bank in the Polson Mall on Highway 6 was robbed by a man around 2:30 Monday afternoon.

“A multiple member response confirmed that a robbery had occurred and a male suspect had fled the bank prior to the arrival of police,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

Police took a 25 year old man in to custody by 6 that night, making an arrest i the Okanagan Landing area.

The suspect will be in court on charges of robbery and possession of a controlled substance.
