Police seek bus assault suspect

West Kelowna RCMP want to identify a man who’s alleged to have punched a bus passenger in the face and then kicked the door in to get off.

It happened a month ago just before 7 a.m. on Feb. 3, on the 6010 route in West Kelowna.

The victim said he did not know the suspect and he was hit without warning.

In a media release, West Kelowna RCMP said an image of the suspect was obtained during the investigation. Officers have been unable to confirm his identity and are now releasing the image to the public in hopes that someone may recognize him.

“We are asking anyone who can identify the individual in the photo to contact police,” Constable Ash Puri, West Kelowna Media Relations Officer, said. “Public assistance can play a crucial role in helping us move the investigation forward.”
