Kelowna General Hospital completes major medical imaging upgrades
Kelowna General Hospital has finished a major modernization of its Medical Imaging department, improving access to diagnostic services and patient care for residents across the Interior.
The redevelopment, delivered in two phases, added a single-storey building for new MRI equipment and renovated existing spaces to enhance patient, visitor, and staff experiences.
The MI department now features two advanced MRI scanners, allowing faster, more accurate diagnostics and supporting earlier treatment for patients across the region.
“This project puts people first by providing modern, reliable spaces for patients, families, and healthcare workers,” said Harwinder Sandhu, MLA for Vernon–Lumby.
