Oliver makes way for Noah in B.C.

Move over Oliver, Noah is the number 1 again.

Parents throughout British Columbia have spoken, choosing Noah as the year’s most beloved name for newborns,with almost 200 more Noahs than Olivers this year. Oliver was tops last year and Noah took first place in 2022 and 2023.

According to B.C.’s Vital Statistics Agency, the top 10 baby names in British Columbia in 2025 were Noah, Oliver, Theodore, Liam, Olivia, Charlotte, Jack, Henry, Sophia and James.

Up to December 15th, 41,557 babies were registered as born in B.C.
