West Kelowna RCMP seize large quantity of drugs and weapons in October bust

West Kelowna RCMP say a recent search warrant executed at a Ponderosa Road residence resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of controlled substances and weapons.

Two people were taken into custody without incident, but charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.

Officers recovered approximately 280 grams of fentanyl, 63 grams of methamphetamine, 59 grams of MDMA, 600 millilitres of GHB, and 306 grams of cocaine. Authorities also seized a .22-calibre handgun, various ammunition, three replica firearms, and a prohibited stun gun.

Sgt. Brendan Dolan of the West Kelowna RCMP said the investigation highlights the ongoing threat posed by drug trafficking in the community.

“The presence of fentanyl, weapons and other controlled substances poses a serious threat to public safety, and our officers are dedicated to preventing these dangerous drugs from being distributed in our neighbourhoods,” he said.

The RCMP say the operation is part of broader efforts to target organized drug activity, reduce overdose risk, and work with partner agencies to respond to drug-related concerns.
