Quadball (Quidditch) Regionals

Quadball regionals to be played in Vernon Saturday

Oct 31, 2025 | 11:33 AM

A tournament for the sport formerly known as ‘Quidditch’ will be held in Vernon Saturday.

The Quadball regionals will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Polson Park on Nov. 1.

The sport combines the speed of rugby and the strategy of dodgeball as players race across the field on broomsticks and try to score goals.

There may be opportunities for people in the community to play as well, as organizers were putting together a Vernon Motley Crew team. People interested in playing can email ed@scsno.ca.

Kids aged five to 14 will also have a chance to play the game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

“We’re thrilled to bring Quadball to Vernon,” Josh Welter of the Sport and Culture Society stated.

“It’s a unique sport that combines athleticism, teamwork, and creativity. It’s as entertaining to watch as it is to play, and we’d love to see the community come out and give it a try.”
