Open Burning Permitted

Category 2 and 3 Open Fires allowed in Enderby

People can once again have large pile burns.

The City of Enderby and Shuswap River Fire Protection District lifted the prohibition on Category 2 and Category 3 Open Burning Wednesday, Oct. 22.

“This is consistent with the approach of the Kamloops Fire Centre, which regulates those areas not protected by a fire department,” the City said on its website.

“The prohibition on campfires was previously lifted effective September 29, 2025.”
