Vernon’s new roundabout opens

Pleasant Valley Road in Vernon is now fully open as the new traffic control project has been completed.

The City of Vernon said on social media that the roundabout at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and 39th Avenue was officially open Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The city asked motorists to be patient as people adjust to the new traffic pattern, follow all posted signs, yield to pedestrians, and to stay alert and drive with care.

The city also directed people to the ICBC website so they can refamiliarize themselves with how to safely travel through a roundabout.
