RCMP make several weekend busts

RCMP reported Kelowna’s Proactive Enforcement Unit (PEU) and the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) made significant seizures of drugs, cash, and contraband on the weekend.

Multiple traffic stops throughout Kelowna led to , among other busts, two vehicles being seized, along with thousands of dollars in cash, and over one kilogram of illicit drugs.

Illegal cigarettes, additional drugs, and more than $18,000 in cash was seized on Friday night alone.

In a media release, Superintendent Chris Goebel was quoted as emphasizing the importance of these efforts.

“We will continue to do as much targeted enforcement as we can to make sure we have the greatest impact,” he said. ”The Kelowna RCMP reaffirm their unwavering commitment to addressing criminal behaviour, including gang activity, drug trafficking and other threats to public safety.”
