Coldstream brings in new Financial Officer

The District of Coldstream has a new leader for its financial department.

Aaron Stuart has been appointed as Coldstream’s new Director of Financial Administration (Chief Financial Officer).

Stuart is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a designation as a Canadian Investment Manager. and a Bachelor of Commerce degree

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the District of Coldstream,” Stuart said.

“I look forward to positively contributing to the organization and community.”

The new Financial Officer most recently led the Capital Budgets and Financial Planning department at Interior Health, but also had experience in municipal finance as he previously worked for the City of Vernon, City of Kelowna, and Township of Spallumcheen.

“Aaron’s depth of experience in both financial management and broader corporate initiatives makes him an exceptional fit for this role,” Keri-Ann Austin, Coldstream’s Chief Administrative Officer, said.

“We are confident in his ability to lead this critical area for the District and excited to welcome him to our leadership team.”

Stuart replaces Jeremy Sundin, who has taken on the Financial Officer position with the Columbia Shuswap Regional District.

Stuart will begin his work with Coldstream on October 6.
