Sep 10, 2025 | 2:21 PM

A former chiropractor found guilty on one count of sexual assault will learn his sentence in the fall.

Murray Kievit was found guilty on one count of sexual assault in Vernon court in July. The charge stemmed from an incident in December of 2021 when Kievit was a chiropractor in Vernon.

The B.C. Prosecution Service told Vernon Matters Kievit would be back in court for a sentencing hearing on November 18, 2025.

Kievit was also charged with a second count of sexual assault that was alleged to have also happened around the same time of the other incident, though he was found not guilty of that offence in July.
