West Kelowna improving management of big city projects

West Kelowna is looking at ways to improve how it handles big city projects.

Ideas for the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant, City Hall/Library, and Operations Centre will be shared at Monday’s Council meeting.

The review found some projects went over budget and had process problems.

It suggests clearer roles, keeping track of risks, and giving regular updates to Council.

Next, the city plans to hire a consultant to help create a better system by 2026.
