Big White Bike Park gears up for major summer expansion
Big White Bike Park is ramping up for one of its busiest build seasons yet, with nearly 10 per cent more terrain set to open this summer.
The mountain’s trail crew has been hard at work refreshing existing routes and breaking ground on new ones, including the addition of a beginner-friendly skills park in the heart of the village — now officially open. The goal, park officials say, is to provide a more progressive riding experience for all levels of riders.
“Our team is focused on creating a smoother, safer way for people to grow their confidence on the bike,” said Drew Gobeil, patrol director at Big White. “We are really excited to bring these world-class trails to life.”
Construction is also underway on a second skills park located just above TELUS Park. It will feature three separate lines — blue, black and double black — each designed with terrain-specific elements that help riders build technical skills in a controlled setting.
