Family launches fundraiser for critically injured young sportsman

A GoFundMe has been launched for 21-year-old Aidan Coates, a Kelowna hockey and ringette goalie, who remains in critical condition after a car accident on April 12.

He suffered multiple traumatic injuries.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Aidan’s family cover medical costs and living expenses as they support him through rehabilitation.

A statement from the organizer of the fundraising efforts said Coates suffered broken legs, a fractured pelvis, a traumatic brain injury, and more. The fundraiser aims to help Aidan’s family with anticipated bills, everyday expenses, his care, rehabilitation, and support during his long recovery.
