Assault on Okanagan Landing Road

RCMP investigating assault in Vernon

Police are seeking information after an alleged assault in Vernon.

RCMP say officers responded to a report of an assault in 8700-block of Okanagan Landing Rd. around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, May 4.

Mounties told Vernon Matters the victim was riding a scooter along the side of the road when a blue, newer model SUV pulled up next to him.

There was a verbal exchange, followed by two men getting out of the vehicle and attacking the scooter rider and knocking him unconscious.

The two assailants then got back in the car and left the scene before police arrived.

Police did not provide information about the condition of the victim.
