Local candidates discuss plans, policies at Vernon forums

Apr 22, 2025 | 6:00 AM

The Vernon-Lake Country-Monashee candidates had two opportunities to share their parties platforms and answer questions about key issues.

All four candidates, Scott Anderson (Conservative), Anna Warwick Sears (Liberal), Leah Main (NDP), and Blair Visscher (Green), participated in an all-candidates forum hosted by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce Thursday, April 18.

During that forum, the local candidates were asked about issues that affect the business sector, economy, and other key topics.

A video of the forum can be seen below:

Earlier in the month, Warwick Sears, Main and Visscher participated in a forum focused on climate change and the environment.

The video of that forum, hosted by Sustainable Environment Network Society, can be seen below:

Anderson did not participate in that forum, telling organizers that he had prior commitments.

Voting for the 2025 Federal Election will go Monday, April 18.
