The vote for the local Conservative Party of Canada candidate will happen the weekend.

The party will have its official nomination vote to determine the representative for the Vernon-Lake Country-Monashee riding Sunday, March 16.

The vote will be held at the Coldstream Community Hall from 1:45 to 6:30 p.m.

Four nominees confirmed they were in the running for the role through press releases or social media posts: Scott Anderson, former Vernon city councillor; Teresa Durning, current Vernon city councillor; Rachel Enns, a local business owner; and Toby Tannas, a Kelowna-based radio show host.

There were two others in the race who had not provided an update on their nomination:Min Randhawa; a local business owner; and Kevin Kraft, director for the Regional District of Central Okanagan East.

The Conservative Party did not immediately respond a request from Vernon Matters for an update on the confirmed nominees.
