Feb 20, 2025 | 3:29 PM

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP have raided a suspected drug lab in Spallumcheen.

Mounties said the clandestine lab was located in a rural part of the municipality, and the investigation was launched after materials suggesting the production of illicit substances were seen being taken onto the property on Reservoir Road.

Police then obtained a warrant and searched the property, leading to the seizure of evidence consistent with drug production.

“It’s expected there will be a continued police presence at the property for several more days,” Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, said.

“At this time, there is no immediate risk to the safety of the public. The RCMP Federal Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team (Federal CLEAR Team) is deployed and is assisting in assessing and safely processing the scene.”

The investigation was ongoing and anyone with information relating to the case wa asked to contact the Armstrong detachment at 250-546-3028.
