Police say a male was admitted to the Kelowna General Hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds in the early morning hours of Jan. 19.

The initial investigation led officers to a residence in the 200-block of Asher Road, where the Serious Crime Unit and Southeast District Emergency Response Team were investigating.

“We believe this incident to be targeted and does not pose a risk to public safety,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier, Kelowna RCMP Media Relations Officer, said.
