BARBARA LYNNE TAIT (nee BURNS)

It is with great sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Barbara Tait.  Wife, mother and grandmother, Barbara was taken from us on October 19, 2022. After a courageous battle with cancer Barbara passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital surrounded by family.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother Lillian, father Wally, and sister Catherine. Barbara is survived by and lovingly remembered by her husband Bob, sons Chris and Jeff (Kelly), 3 grandchildren, as well as many close relatives and dear friends.

Barb loved to travel, especially with family and friends.  She enjoyed spending hours planning trips, always feeling fortunate to be able to see the world.

Barb found great joy in planning events to bring together her friends and family. Her love of family became a passion for genealogy, tracing her family history and passing along her family’s stories. Barb had many cherished memories of friendships from her Regatta Rd Ladies, Ingolf summers, Vernon Newcomers Ladies group and the Vernon Family History Society.

Cremation has taken place and a private family event will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or in tribute to Barb, the family would like you to consider a donation to the B.C. Cancer Research Centre, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
