Heaven has gained an angel
Our hearts are broken. After a very long and courageous battle with cancer, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Mom (aka Mum, Momma Bear, Nana, Nana Canada, GG, Dorothy, Dot) on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Vernon Hospice. She was surrounded by her family. Mom fought hard to the bitter end, she was definitely one tough cookie, small but mighty!
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents John and Jessie Smith, her siblings John (Norma), Claude (Irene), Allan (Teddy) Lionel (Effie) and Marion (Harry); and her husband, Ron (Age 43), and sister-in-law Claudette. She is survived by her five children Michael, Danny, Lori, Greg and Angelique (Sam); ten grandchildren Stef, Jackie, Travis, Christopher, Sarah, Nathan, Ryan, Savannah, Samy and Landon; eight great grandchildren (Isaac, Kaija, Hudson, Landon, Nolan, Mya, Nova and Ezrah); her cousin Marnie, sister-in-law Lynn (Ray); brother-in-law Harvey (Doreen); and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Rest in Eternal Peace now that your years of pain and suffering are over and knowing how much you were loved by so many!!
